97 150 EFI fuel pump/ECU question

My boat has been randomly shutting off and I have had some trouble tracing the problem. It starts right back up and runs perfect but sometimes will just shut off. Checked the chrging system since that was it last time but it checked ok. I was testing the fuel pressure and notice the pump wasnt running constantly like it should. Started it up and it ran fine but then choked out. I noticed the fuel pressure would drop just before it stopped. So I checked power to the pump and found it was getting the power cut to it causing the pressure to drop. Turned it off and tested again and it ran fine. Im guessing the fuel pump driver is going out in the ECU, but is there anything else that could be causing this? Anything else I should check or just have the ECU tested? Also where is a good place to get that done?
Thanks in advance

The fuel pump driver in the ECU grounds to operate the pump, the power supply is constant.

Disconnect the ground wire from the pump to the ECU, rig a new wire from the pump to ground to test/operate the pump. If the motor runs fine now, then see about replacing the driver in the ECU.

Yea, i did that and it ran fine with a jumper. Steady 37 psi. So i guess its just the ecu....that sucks

If you do not have to go thru a lot of long no wake zones you can use a power trim relay to bypass this as this is what some of the racer run.
