94 60hp mercury black max

i have a 1994 merc 60hp 3 cylinder oil injection model is it the same power as the mercury 65hp of 1977 or less. will the prop from older engine fit or is this a completely different engine. also is it more reliable or not..phill

The propshaft horsepower is going to be roughly the same. As far as the prop goes, according toi the information I can find, no they will not interchange. And the reliability issue? No question, the current 60 2-stroke is almost bullet-proof, very good engine IMHO.<br /><br />Hope this helps!<br /><br />Good luck!
