just got a 1994 1802 in pretty good condition. i noticed today a fuel smell comming from the bilge area. sure enough opened the hatch and there is fuel laying in the bilge. so i shut off and disconnected the batteries , top of the tank is dry, all fuel lines are dry, top of sending unit and tank are dry. drained 30 gallons before it stopped leaking. has any one ever replaced a tank in one of these boats?? taking the top of the boat off seems just crazy.is there any kind of tank sealer that could be used, or should i start to look for another boat? external tanks would work but for the driving i do it just wouldnt work. help please!!!!!

I have wondered the same. It seems like it would be a major problem. You may want to post on baylinerownersclub.org . There are a lot of knowledgeable people over that may be able to answer your questions better.
