Hello everyone, i have posted this problem before but i am now ready to start doing some diagnostics and wanted to see if i was in line with what i am doing. A quick overview of the problem. Motor starts fine and idles fine. But once it gets under load it will not plane out and just bogs down and eventually dies and is very hard to start after that. First thing i did was check the fuel filter and it was absultley filthy (inline filter) siphoned some gas out and let it sit and there were black specs in the gas. so this weekend i finaly get some time to work on my motor. Here is my plan of attack. Drain gas out of gas tank and get all of the gunk out (any thoughts on how to get sediment out of tank would be appreciated, it is a built in tank) Do compression check and spark check. I am hoping this will help me isolate the problem. I have a portable 3 gallon tank i am going to use to help flush out everything real good and add some fresh gas with seafoam and let that run through the motor. any other suggestions you guys might have?
