Finnally got this running 9.0 h.p. s# 800366 (no model # that I can find) color is white with a yellow cowling. It has a bail-o-matic and that works great. Also it is el. start. Question what year might this be, what fuel mix 1/50 or 1/40. What might this be worth with tank Thanks

Thanks F R for reply sorry but there is no model # any were on motor on tag it just gives hp and speed of motor 3800-4800 and name of co. and s# 800366 (first motor I,ve seen with # easy to read their about 1/4 inch high and black)

The 9 appears in 66 and I believe runs into the early 70s.
If Electric start motors are run without a battery the fuse,diode and/or the armature may be damaged.The I believe the present day recomended fuel mix is 40:1 with TCW3 rated oil. Use google and put in scott guy. may be able to id your motor and confirm fuel mix.
