9.9 Evenrude

Thanks to imported F R for earlier help. Need help on 9.9 H. P. ??? 10755a E 0001262 Cowling is for 15 H. P. but motor tag it is a 9.9. did somebody change carb. to change H. P. If so how can I tell. What year is this motor. Also where can I get picture of parts for recoil starter. Just got motor not sure whether to fix or sell to somebody who has more time. Thanks for any help

Your model number indicates that you have a 1977 9.9Hp motor. I can't really help you on what would have had to of been done to upgrade it to a 15 Hp. The carb for sure, but perhaps some other things.

Maybe they didn't change anything but the hood.

Carb, exhaust tube, and maybe a reed cage spacer.
