The iboats forum moderators are excited to announce that at this time it appears the iboats forums posting pictures function is working once again. Though we cannot promise for how long, we're hoping for indefinitely.
my 89 20 hp Ev. cuts out after it warms up when you go above 1/3 throttle. Have tried plugs, wires, coils, etc. Mech. says it sounds like a rev limiter. Would this engine have one? It will run all day at trolling speeds.

May have found the answer. Disconnected the Overheat Temp Sensor and now the motor runs great. Have ordered a new sensor and will install ASAP. I'll let you know if it works out. J

Good News Replaced the Overtemp sensor and it runs perfect. Apparently, when the water pump went out, the motor got hot enough to damage the overtemnp sensor but not hot enough to damage the engine. Got lucky this time? Still spent $600.00 to fix $30.00 part.
