Hey guys, I'm new to this oil injection stuff and was wondering if some one
could help me out with an issue I'm having. Ive never owned an outboardwith
oil injection before so sorry if I sound a bit noobish. I just bought an 88 walk
around with a rebuilt outboard on it. The motor was not 100% broken in when I got it so this past saturday I spend 4 hours following the break in instructions. The motor ran great with the exception of an intermittent VRO alarm. Could happen once every 20 minutes or once every 40. I know it is a brand new VRO pump. It has a clear plastic tube going into the VRO unit to see if there was oil and there was. When the alarm would sound I would give a slight pump of the oil primer bulb and the alarm would shut off. It looks to be all brand new equipment. VRO pump all the way back to the tank with new lines and what not. When I got back to my house I did find 2 loose hose clamps on the primer bulb. Is there any kind of adjustment that might need to be made? Or is there any place I should go in trouble shooting? Any help would be much appreciated.

Check the lines for leaks (air intrusion) to begin with. If it is sucking some air in then it is not getting enough oil.
