85hp start question

picked up a Bayliner with a 85Force. When I start in the motor cannot adjust throttle speed very much. Is this normal--my other motors allow you to throttle up in neutral alot more than the Force.

Did you pull out the handle to move forward.
Mine has lots of travel.

You have to push the button and pull the handle toward the center of
the boat to raise RPM's in neutral.

Hope this helps a bit.

no --on my other motors that works. om th force I have the Binical controls.

I am not sure If it is the controls or the motor that limits throttle play
