77 omc 175hp blows fuse in reverse??

have a 77 electric shift omc 175hp that runs fine untill i shift it in reverse then it blows a fuse. wondering what gear case i should look in and what it is...

You have a short in the reverse (blue) wire, or in the clutch coil in the lower unit. Gonna have to track it down.
