72 Starcraft - Need some type of rubber grommets?

I'm replacing cables and wires and have to run them through a few holes in the aluminum of the boat. I would like to protect the wires by putting in some type of rubber grommet or something so they don't rub on the aluminum. The holes are all different sizes from maybe an inch to three inches in diameter. Any ideas how to make your own rubber grommet or something to protect the wires from the edges of those holes? Doesn't have to look pretty. :)

Yep, you can use 1/4" fuel line and slit it with a Razor Knife. Wash it with Acetone to remove the lettering.

I like that! Would you then glue it or something to the aluminum? Or what would you use to secure it?

Some 3M 4200 would work, but I would think that if they are cut "To Fit" they wouldn't need anything but friction to hold em in just like any other rubber grommet.
