motor runs fine for awhile then drops rpms from 5100 to 3100 will not pick backup until you shut down engine and let set for awhile then restart and is ok for awhile no misses or odd noises please help

Ahoy, Mudgrubber. What have you tried? Have you read about on this BB, and tried: Pumping the primer? Checking for a no-power cylinder by disabling the spark plug and obseerving what it does to rpm? Observing and feeling the temp of your telltale stream?<br /><br />If not, do those. Tell us what you found, tell us the boat, year of your motor and its history.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . . . .<br />JB

Hey, JB & mudgrubber... post info on Engine & Motor side...<br /><br />... I cannot understand when site has "boating" & "engine & motor" sides, that individuals seem to want to post over here... it will take alot longer to get answer on this side. I come over here to check & see if someone has miss posted questions when I have time or looking to see what people "have named thier boat"... It always confuses me???? WHY????<br /><br />OK... you have found one of my pet peeves... I hope someone knows the answer... ONCE YOU GIVE INFO... ON "ENGINE & MOTOR" SIDE!!!!<br /><br />Good Luck!!!
