70 hp evinrude vro delete

hi everyone,i have mid to late 80's evinrude 70 hp looking to remove vro.can anyone tell me where to get or a part number for a non vro fuel pump with three nipples,most of the ones i found are for lower horse power engines an not sure if they will work.sorry if this thread has already been posted

I don't have the part number, but I bought mine at the local Evinrude dealer 12 years ago. If the parts counter person does'nt know, talk to a seasoned mechanic, they could help.

I disabled the VRO on my 89 Evinrude in 98, now I mix my own and have never had a problem with oiling since. No regrets.

If you research this site enough, you may find the part number or someone else may can tell you.

Run a search, there are several posts about removing the VRO.

Have your dealer look up the hoses and pump for a 1983 70hp.

thanks for the replies,the dealer wants 100 bucks for the pump so i quess i will go that way.
