50 HP Force

I have a 1988 50 HP Force. It has as Prestolite ignition system. I rebuilt the power head but I can't get ignition. Can anyone help me with a wiring diagram? Each of the high voltage coils has 5 wires-green, orange, blue, brown, black. Thanks in advance. Charlie. (cburk001@juno.com)

Your wiring diagram is in the back of the manual,page 585.<br />If you need a scanned copy of this, or if I can help in any way,E me. I don't do faxes, but can send it to you if your ISP allows file transfers.

One other observation...The manual has two seperate revisions of the prestolite ignition for that year. In the model number, the last letter (A,B,C,D,E) will be required to pick the right one.

I'm not sure my ISP will let me accept a file transfer, but would appreciate it if you would try. I do not have a manual, and our local library systen doesn't have one for '88 Forces. My e-mail address is curk001.@juno.com. When I took the engine apart, I thought I had marked all the wiring correctly. Guess not. Charlie
