Not reaching WOT and smelling gas, my first thought is the carb is flooding, but can be many things, need some testing

I'm honestly leaning on tune up of the ignition system because I was looking at the fuel pump and I found a plug wire haning and I pulled a plug wire off and the plug was broken I got half of it in the wire and the othe was in the motor hahahahah

Compression test to determine health of the motor (more then 110 psi with throttle held at WOT and 4 revolutions minimum)
Check/replace filters if they have not been changed. Check contents of filter
Check timing

Then go to the Adults Only section and review thru the thread about not reaching WOT

Ensure your exhaust flappers are still intact and one hasn't come loose and plugged one side.
