I have a 2002 40HP Mercury Bigfoot 4-stroke with tilt & trim on pontoon. Question I have is there a break away or will motor comes up if it hits something? We hit something in water not going to fast (5 to 7mph) motor did not come up, but darn near stopped the pontoon. It happened so quick it may have come up but I don't think so. Checked motor nothing damaged. Nothing in owners manual about this. Is something locked down that shouldn't be. I have smaller motors that when they hit something they pop right up. With T&T is something there that lets it come up when it hits something? Thanks
