40 HP Evinrude Controls questions

I need information on what the knobs below the ingition switch on my controls are. I just bought old boat, runs great but need to know what they do in case someone turns them to a different setting.

There were a lot of designs for different years.<br /><br />Can you post a digital picture of your controls, or, at least, give us the exact year and horsepower of the engine?

One of them (top I think) is the throttle friction adjustment. Screw it in and you put more pressure on the throttle lever. The other one is probably an accessory plug connector.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
