my motor will not idle no matter what i do. i ahve changed all items from the gas tank to and including the carb(from another motor that wass running good). i have not changed the reeds.any help is appreciated.

Does it run at all? If so, at a fast idle, is the RPM stable, or are the RPMs erratic?<br />If it is stable, you only need to adjust the idle at the throttle linkage.<br />If it is unstable, it could be a fuel pum problem, low compression, or a stressed reed.<br />More than likely, it'll be the pump tho.

yes it does run but only very fast and does seem stable. have used a good working carb and pump and good compression.a mechanic that i know thinks it may be leaky crank seals..
