If I remove the floor and find water in floatation, why would I need to replace it (leave it without flotation) The new floor would keep the stability intact. I think. Then any water gets in it will drain to bilge pump or out the back????

Not insulation...Consider it flotation. I used closed cell styrfoam from Lowe's. Cut to fit and it doesn't block the water below the floor from finding it's way to the bilge pump like the spray in flotation.

If the floor is filled with flotation as my old seaswirl it could be real fun to remove. I only get about, mabey 5 gallon after it's in the water for 4-6 hours. The origional flotation material used was a very unwise decision. I wonder if it would be worth the trouble. Boat still goes very fast 55-60 and is quick on acceleration.
