2011 40HP 3cyl Jap model

I am trying to remove the lower unit to change the WP. But the shift linkage is different to what I have seen before. Was expecting the jam nut setup.
Can anyone give me a pointer?
I disconnect near the power head, but it has a bend and can't pull it down??

In your second and 3rd picture, the coupler with roll pin you drive the lower pin out
