Is this a good year for the 115hp? I was looking at a used one.

UNLESS it's a FICHT, it's a really good motor....stay away from FICHT

what is a ficht? I was looking at a used 115hp for $6500 with 85 hrs

is the 115 e tec alot better?

I didn't know what a FICHT was either, so I did a little Googling. Here's one answer I found.

FICHT was johnson/evinrude's "Hail Mary"....and it didn't work....was one of the first stabs at High Pressure Injection...sank the company and Bombardier snatched it up....most notorious engine ever...
The regular 2-stroke(carburated) is a great engine....60 deg. is best(like the one you're looking at)...I'm a yama tech but own one of these (90 hp, same basic engine)....great motor
