2001 Merc 150hp efi beeps ONLY after bouncing hard over a wake

SN OT323377. Does not give 3 beeps every two minutes or any other such pattern to help me identify it. If it takes a really hard bounce, it simply beeps but won't beep again unless you hit another big wake. No problems on flat water. No reduction in power, just the beep(s). I cannot remember how many beeps, sorry to say, and I didn't want to wait until next time I'm on the water to post the question. Oil level in tank seems to be fine. Anyone familiar with this or have any ideas? Thanks.

150 efi, offshore salt water model?.. if so its probably tha float sensor in tha "motor tank" (oil) sloshin' around and float a little weak..

jan.. that motor only has two warnings... a continuous beep for over heat and an oscillating beep, beep etc. for oiler problems........
