I have a 2001 Johnson 115 Ocean Pro. I purchase the used boat last year. Motor has ran fine all last summer. I have started to get a small amount of oil discharge our of the front of the motors that seems to be coming from the carbs. When I take the air silence off you can see the blue oil just sitting in the carb throats. I store the motor in the up position. When I first purchase the boat there was no oil/gas discharge from the front of the motor cowling like I am seeing now. Also it has started to run rough at idle and low RPM. It also has started to smoke excessively especially at idle. White smoke comes boiling out from underneath the front of the cowling at idle. Can anyone please tell me what has caused this problem?
