200 HP scored cyl

Does anyone know if I can get at everything I need to, to pull a piston and hone a cylinder WITHOUT pulling the powerhead off? everything I'm reading says pull the power head, but I don't need to pull the crankshaft (I hope) The # 6 cyl wall looks like a broke a ring.

Pull the powerhead, check for any and all other damage or things needing attention then know that all is well when you re-assemble.

Just my humble opinion though.
