Just bought on a sale (cheap) a 2H.P. Evinrude model E2RCRS s/n B100307. It won,t turnover (froze). Pulled plup filled it with deepcreep. Any suggestions on something else. No sign of over heating. motor looks great. bought as a challenge. Any suggestions thanks. GREAT FORUM better than a class in motor repair.

You got that right. There are lots of professional mechanics and knowledgable amateurs here willing to help with the diagnostics.

First I'd pull the lower unit (you will need to change the impeller anyway) and make sure its the powerhead that's frozen and not the gearcase.

All that was wrong was the recoil starter was jamed. Had fun rewinding spring. After I got it all together and adjusted it started second pull. Not a bad buy for 20 dollors. Thanks for the help.

Yup, it's like trying to stuff a thousand angry bees into a hive.

Change the water pump.
