Sorry guys,

That last thing you need here is another mixture question but I just picked up a 1998 Mariner 6hp. :D

Could someone please let me know what the correct mixture is?
Its been sitting about 2 years and has had very little use.

Is this a decent motor? Any information you could share on this motor would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Thank you sir!

Is there anywhere to get a owners (not service) manual for this motor?

I figured out it shifts from forward to reverse from the throttle but there is (or what seems to be) a red button in the end of the twist grip. Anyone know what that is for?

I should be good with the rest.... :D

THANKS!

Thanks guys!

I have a little collection of small (under 6hp) vintage Evinrudes and Johnsons that I really enjoy. This is the newest motor I have ever owned.

I cant find a owners manual online and have not been to the lake yet to tinker with it so I have one final question...

The large knob on the front marked "Pull to prime".... I am assuming this is the choke? Is this correct?

that knob when you pull it each time shoots a small stream of fuel in carb, needs about 2-3 shots when cold on mine
