Niggling fault please can someone help fing diagnose and suggest a repair

I start the engine it runs perfect both at idle and high revs in all gears but then after about 10mins it dies instantly just like pressing the stop button it pumps water very well

does not seem to overheat no other problems exept this one changed the coil had new plugs changed the petrol and oil

does not splutter it just dies instantly I have cleaned the carb once it has died it won't start for a long while 1hour plus, If you eave it for a few hours it starts first pull then repeats the same process as above.

Can anybody suggest the next things to check. I was thinking maybe a faulty thermostat (if it has one), not an expert but know way around it if advice is given

THANKS SO MUCH

Hope to be back on water with it soon, wont take boat out without the aux you see

Be sure you have the correct plugs. 2 stroke motors can be funny that way.

Sounds like a poor electrical connection.
Check that all your connections are clean and tight.
I had a similar issue with an '89 Honda dirt bike. It would run fine and then just shut off and not restart until it cooled down. I had it in the shop 3 times before they finally got it to cut out. It was a dirty connection (one of the bullet type connectors) They cleaned it with some 0000 steel wool and the problem never came back.
Intermittant electrical problems can be a pia.
It could be a problem with the shutoff switch wiring as well.
If it is a tiller model check where the wiring runs out of the tiller into the powerhead area as the wiring can rub and crack there.
This should give you a start.
