I was zooming along and hit a wave and the motor shut off. I started it again and took off but it shut off again. Anyway, before I went out I forgot to charge the battery and to make a long story short I had to be towed in.
Now on land and at home I charged the battery and tried to start it and it doesn't start. Its getting gas in the carburator and the spark plugs are sparking. I checked each one individually. I also poured gas directly in the carb and nothing. I checked the compression in the cylinders and its good, also there is no water in the oil. Need help please.

Disconnect the coil wire from the distributor cap and hold it about 1/2" from a good clean ground and crank the engine. You should have bright blue spark. DO YOU?

you have a string attached to a kill switch, make sure it's all the way in the plastick wedge.

maybe next to the keyswitch. You don't have any string hanging off a switch on the dash maybe next to the throttle.

IF the kill switch was bad, you wouldn't have spark. All it does is kills power to the coil. No power to the coil, no spark.

When you turn the key on do you have power at the dash looking at your gauges? And have you checked fuses at the dash and back at the engine area?

Like Don said "IF the kill switch was bad, you wouldn't have spark. All it does is kills power to the coil. No power to the coil, no spark. I'm going to get up early today and check again, first I'm going to check the timing. If I find the problem I'll post it.

Okay so I checked about almost everything and there are 2 spark plugs that are bad, they don't spark. For this motor 3.0 LX, do they have to be marine spark plugs or can I use automotive plugs and I also checked the gas filter which I changed last month and in the bottom there was water and some other stuff that looked like sludge.
