1994 70hp Johnson on a 20' pontoon boat. Compression 125 all three cylinders, new water pump 08, new plugs, premix oil and gas. I have had this boat/engine about five years. Cranking is not a problem, hot or cold. The problem is after the engine runs for a minute or so at idle it slowly reduces rpm and dies. More prevalent in the warm months than cold months. I run it year round and it will idle better when it is really cold outside. Engine runs fine above the 1500 rpm range, only dies when at idle or slightly above idle, in or out of gear.
