Hi guys. So my boat has sat for 2 years, i am currently in the process of checking everything out and getting it ready for thn water. I go to check spark and i have no spark on all 3 cylinders. I have a service manual and will be following all of the trouble shooting tips there but i do have 2 questions. #1. Per the CDI troubleshooting guide, it says disconnect the black yellow wire at the power pack. I do not have a black and yellow wire leading from the power pack. I unplugged the 5 pin connector and there is no black and yellow. Is there somewhere else i could disconnect the kill, switch wire to test this?
#2 in the manual there are numerous tests to check at the engine harness. Although the schematic of the red plug does not match up to what is on my motor OR the wiring diagram in the back of the manual. The pictures show 10 connections and there are 8 on my harness. Pic to be attached. Can anyone decipher this mess for me lol

Very strange that you do not have a black/yellow wire (kill circuit) at the powerpack. However.... disconnect that same wire at the ignition switch

If you have spark with that wire disconnected but no spark with it connected... replace the ignition switch.

Get the battery checked out , load test it---make sure it is good.

Simplest things first. Thanks for the tip racerone. Battery failed, hopefully this makes the gremlin go away lol

The yellow is often very hard to see, its a tiny stripe along the black wire

I traced the black yellow wire back to the pack. A few other issues. I was having problems with my neutral safety switch. I was doing a test on it per the manual and one of the connections broke off. I spliced the two wires leading to it together for testing purposes. Now i have no crank at all on my motor. I turn the key and get the standard tone, but nothing when i turn the key. I did a test on the ignition switch and it checked out fine and i reattached everything where it is supposed to be. Battery is brand new and fully charged. HELP lol

Seperate the wires for the neutral safety switch and tape the ends. Bit your motor will now start in gear so be careful.
