I need some help. I have a deposit on a used 89 Bluewater offshore 221. The boat looks to be in good condition for the year. The floor feels solid and so does the transom. I need to know if anyone knows much about this model. I have had a few people tell me that the stringers were bad right from the factory and also to watch out for the floor because it was not made with marine grade plywood. I was hopping someone that has owned this model could tell me how well they like/liked it. Any input would be great.
Thanks in advance

Rbud not familliar with that model is the boat made out of fiberglass or aluminum . I ask this due to the fact most of the aluminum boats are a breeze as the stringers are also aluminum and even if the deck isnt marine grade and many of ours are not even after restoration it doesnt mean the deck is bad if the boat was taken care of then its most likely in decent shape if it was left out in the rain the upholstery will tell you that without even having too look at the Deck.

The boat is made of fiberglass. I guess this is why the stringers are a concern. As far as it being left out in the rain, it does not appear to have been. I walked all around on the deck and it felt solid to me.
Thanks again.

Rbud,

Did you ever pick this boat up or did I miss the update?
