1989 Johnson 200 GT need help

starts good put it in geargive gas with bulb pumped up will run a little piece then acts like it runs out of gas pump bulb up and it will run a little futher as long as you pump bulb it will run. Has a new bulb from Johnson the oil has been disconnected and i mix at tank. any info appreciated.

I'm no expert on Johnson's, but I would take a close look at the fuel pump and filter to start with.

If your running on the gas side of the VRO pump, check the pulse fitting at the block is not plugged up. Also check all hoses are still flexible and have tight connections at the nipples.<br /><br />Pump the bulb up snug and while keeping pressure on the bulb, look around the VRO pump and fittings for leaks.<br /><br />If this is the original pump that came with the engine, the pump may have just worn out.<br /><br />(Save Water....Drink Beer???) Gotta love our Canadian brothers!!!

Just to make sure of one thing....<br /><br />Are you sure that the tank vent is open?

mite want to check quick connect fittings if you are using them.<br />i found mine to be bad & letting air past if you move the hose.
