1989 gt 150 johnson stalling out

i just got this boat and it starts fine but it stalls out when throttle is opened out then it will take off run great but when go to restart its back again may have to idle out 100 yards then ease into throttle again sometimes have to back all the way off and get back into it again to get on plane one on plane it seems fine its just stopping and starting and when it wont take off rpms are about half of what i thinks they should be and acts like it not getting fuel but bulb is hard

You may have dirt, debris, dried fuel in the mid fuel jets. You may want to pull the carbs apart, pull all the jets and inspect them visually. Good idea to clean all the carb passages with an aerosol carb cleaner.

just want to say thanks after looking at several other similar problems i was able to narrow it down and it was the most simple thing the fuel filter had never been changed since 1991 i went ahead and ck carbs and replace all fuel line she ran great today after repairs again thanks to everyone here who posts was all great info
