Does anyone know which terminal the tach connects to on the ignition switch? I tried once, but bled the battery down, so disconnected it!!!

Re: 1986 Bayliner Capri 125hp Force

On my ignition switch there is a terminal that only has power going to it when the key is on. I use that one so it would not be on when the engine is off. I believe it was the i terminal. I was also told by many people on here that it is the one it should be used on , the m if i remember correctly is for the magneto and controls on or off for the motor. Depending on the set up if the m circuit is open it will run on others if it is closed it will run and reverse to shut off the engine. Hope this helps.
