Got around to pulling the motor from boat to replace camshaft seals. When I got the cover off the pump the end of the camshaft came completely off. The engine serial number is A451741. I am now in need of a camshaft. The version I have is the one where the impeller is attached with a bolt with LH thread. Not the version where the impeller is threaded and attaches to the cam with a stud. I found one on ebay with lifters for $228, but I am a little leery. I would rather have new, than used. Any ideas? Thanks.

If not available new Buy the used one off eBay you can always have it reground as long as the core is ok

my friend had his Volvo penta 2 cylinder diesel wipe a cam lobe. He found a local shop that reground cams was able to weld material on the lobe and renachine. Looked and worked like a new cam and was cheap <$100
