I’m going to bypass the dreaded resistance wire from to coil to accommodate the pertronix ignition I installed a while back.
Plan “A” is to cut purple wire (my wire color) and cap off wire at choke and run a wire from “excite” stud on alternator (just updated) to coil.
Excite wire is wired to ignition and gets 12 v when key is turned on.
Anyone see a problem with doing it this way?
I haven’t had any issues, yet. But that wire sure gets warm when the key is on.
Thanks in advance.
