1984 Johnson 40 hp rectifier question

I want to replace the rectifier on my 1984 Johnson 40 hp because it is not charging. I ordered a new rectifier and am noticing there are 3 unmarked yellow wires and a single red wire. My old rectifier had 3 yellow wires as well, but one had a blue stripe on it. Does it matter which way I hook up the yellow wires? Are they interchangeable? Can I damage it if I hook it up to the wrong terminal?

if it does not regulate... ( diagram shows a simple rectifier) & consist of only a 3 phase rectifier they are dirt cheap

yellow wires carry AC and each is independently converted to DC (red wire) so it does not matter if they are interchanged

if it is a rectifier regulator to keep the DC steady .... well that is more $$$
