I need help with my 1983 dt 25 hp suzuki. The motor bogs down while under load above half throttle but runs fine with water hose hooked up to it. The carburetor and fuel pump has been redone along with a compression test and both cylinders reading 105. I had talked with someone who suggested that the exhaust may be leaking and forcing itself back into the motor causing the motor to bog down over half throttle under load. My boat is 16' fiberglass and sat for a few years before I got it from my Dad. It ran fine before it sat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really can't afford to pay a mechanic but I need to go scalloping before end of season.
