Does anyone have any information on how these boats were built. What types wood was used for stringer, how the hull was layed up. I haven't been able get any response from Wellcraft.<br /> Thanks for any info.

Pretty lousy. I like Wellcrafts, but I would expect floor, transom or stringer rot in a boat of that vintage. No worse than other boats, but inspect closely before buying. 76 was a good year. Started going down a little after that.

The boat was free but the floor and stringers are gone. Do I need to cut just tops off the stringer woven roven and replace the stringer or grind all the fiber down to the boat layed up fiberglass and start over.

Ask on the boat restoration forum. They could be of better help.

I think their factory is in Sarasota county in Florida, near Brandenton.
