I just got this motor. Its all new to me. I got it running on the muffs tonight. It started right up. Sounds great. Where should water be coming out. I put a new impeller in. I am getting some water in the thru-prop exhaust. If I rev it up a little I get some from the midsection holes. But I am getting a constant stream from the front of the lower unit right about the bottom of the transom. That does not seem right unless that is just overflow from the muffs? But the water was warm. So my main question is. Should water be coming out the front of the lower unit? Any help is appreciated. I want to run it on the lake this weekend and don't want to find there is a problem in the fist 10 minutes. My wife says if there is no mishaps first time out I get new seats. So please respond. Brian

It is fine to have it coming out of the front where you describe. Once on the water and warmed up watch the temp for a few minutes by putting your hand or a couple of fingers on the head for a slow count of three. If you can't hold them there for that long then you are running hot.
