Can someone give me some direction to what may be causing my problem. I have a 1976 Johnson Seahorse 35 Hp motor and this last weekend it was working good and when I was motoring I suddenly lost power and believe to have been only running on 1 cylinder. It would still run and I was able to slowly motor back and noticed that there was some water inside around the upper unit. I could see what looked like a leak coming from under the motor. From what Ive researched already, Ive found that it could be the head gasket. Could it be something else and if so what are the appropriate steps to follow to find out. Any help is appreciated.
