I would like to revisit this question please. I purchase this very nice boat from the original owner this month.
This Sea Ray appears to be a 1974 by decoding the HIN not a 1972, as I thought in my original post.
The link provide to the Sea Ray archives does not show a 1974 model.
The SeaRay club website did not have a 1974 SRV190 with an outboard.
The iBoats website boatspecs shows a 1974 model but list max HP at 130HP, which does not agree with the coast guard plaque located near the remote control, which lists 150HP max.
If I re-power will insurance companies go by the coast guard sticker or some other source ?
In the past I had a 1992 Arima and the boat dealer told me that the coast guard HP rating had been changed and I could get a new plague. I have not had success with local Sea Ray dealers in the Portland OR on old Sea Rays.
