Hello, I have a 71 Seahorse 25hp tiller motor. I was wondering if there is any way to create a charging system so i could charge my battery off the motor. It doesnt have electric start, but I would like to charge the battery for the trolling motor, and night lights. If anyone has any Ideas on how to make my motor charge a battery, please let me know. Thanks alot, you guys are alot of help!!!

Tawd

No easy way I can think of...

I have seen small alternators out there. If one was persistant enough and had the room, one might attempt to adapt it to the engine....(not an easy task)

Seems to me you have a point type magneto ignition. No room under the flywheel. Some electric start engines did not come with charging systems. I'm not sure if the old OEM external generator found on some relics will bolt up. I guess it all depends on how much trouble you are willing to go through....
