197? 20hp prop removal

I have a 1976 (I think) 20hp Merc. I have spun the prop. I can secure the prop, turn the nut and the shaft turns with the nut, turning the motor over. How would you suggest removing the bolt when the prop spins on the shaft? Also are they regular threads or reversed?<br />Any help would be greatly appreciated.<br />Thanks<br />T

use an air impact but be sure to go correct direction for your engine....and some lubricant on threads always helps......good luck
