My recoil starter spring broke on my 3Hp Evinrude Lightwin Model 3706 S.Does anyone know where I can get one?Any tricks on putting her back together would be appreciated too.

I beleave the part number you are looking for is 307573, which changed to 395460. Check with you local dealer to be sure.

i hope you can install it with out uncoiling it, i tried to replace the pull sting on a lawnmower once (im not a motor guy), accentdly hit the recoil spring, and spend 3 days trying to get the dang thing back in the mower..... my hands were so tender, i could not grip any thing for days.....

bad thing was it wasnt even my lawnmower, it was my ex girl friends mower
