Ok so last night I got all my wiring done with a new switch and found out my choke is shorted. If I move the power connecter on the choke it will work but only when you move it. Can you buy a new one cheap or what do you have to do to fix it?

Hey, "boat parts" and "cheap" don't go together. However, the part number is 376806, changed to 385554, both listed as no longer available. Try Laings at http://www.laingsoutboards.com/

I found two places that have it. One wanted $85 shipped and the other wanted $107. The http://www.laingsoutboards.com/ was the one for $85.

But for $85 for something that moves an arm when power is on it I think I am going to pull it off and see if I can fix it. Its just shorted out so I should be able to fix it.

i'd give it a try, if not you could just manually choke it. it's an option not a total necessity.
