1963 evinrude starflite impellar problem??

my motor was pumping water out of the exaust port when i first got it running and today it has stopped pumping and began to overheat. i assume the impellar is no good that is if something this old has one. my question is does it have one? is it possible to get a new one and where? and how difficult it is to replace it compared to a newer engine? this boat has a selectric shift control. also the carbeuraters are runnign a little choppy. how hard would it be to find parts for them?

It sounds like you burned out the impeller and are in the need of a carb rebuild. You can purchase your impeller from iboats as well as the carb rebuilt kits. You should also purchase a manual to guide through the tricky steps of replacing the impeller.
