1962 Johnson 3 hp. fuel shut off.

I have a 1962 Johnson 3 hp. and I cannot find a fuel shut off valve for it anywhere.I need everything from the tank to the carburator.Any Ideas from anyone without paying more than the motor is worth.

They sell little inline fuel shutoff valves at decent hardware stores. You need a brass fitting that will screw into the tank and has a nozzle on the other end to accept a fuel line, a brass fitting that will screw into the carb and has a nozzle on the other end that will accept a fuel line, a small inline shutoff valve, eight inches of small engine fuel line, and four clamps.

The inlet to the carb is an inverted nut compression fitting. You will have to deal with that.

I see what you mean about the cost. The 277187 filter is $49.34, the 277183 vlave is N/A, last price was $40.30, the 277213 fuel line is $33.13. Sheese!
