I finally got the boat back from my dads house. I can now start to get ideas on how to fix the problems that we see. Here are the first couple that I can see offhand.

The first one is that the splash well has a crack in it. What is the best way to repair this crack?

The second picture is the bottom of the boat, first of all I know that I am going to have to paint this as the paint is all chipped off. But there is a big dent in the bottom of the boat. How would one go about getting this straightened out? Is the only way to pound out from the inside with the floor off?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I love coming here to look at what you all have done on your Starcrafts.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Working from the inside out is easiest to remove dents. But with these being on the bottom bottom do you really need to remove them? Just something to think about.

The funny thing is my wife and I were having that same conversation when I saw your post. I may think about doing it when I replace the floor, whenever that is. Thanks for your comments.

Re: 16' Holiday repair questions

First pic
stop drill the ends of the crack with at least a 1/8 diameter drill bit, look close and make sure you get the end of the crack.
fabricate and rivet on a doubler with sealant on the faying surfaces with 5052 aluminum the same guage as the material used on the repair area. Extend the doubler out far enough that the extra strength prevents the repair area from cold working.

Pic two
live with it, the metal is stretched once its dented, It'll never be flat again.
