Hi all....
I just bought a Starcraft Model " 15' Jetstream-V "
The serial number near the driver's seat is " 1008xxx " (xxx = last three numerical digits ommitted for obvious reasons)
Does anyone have any idea of this boat's date of manufacture? ( I think it's a 1972 year model )
And can someone tell me where the Hull I.D. number might be?
The boat is in beautiful condition....
Probably a 9+ on a scale of 10
The boat came with a 50 hp Johnson 50th anniversary series outboard (doesn't run yet )
If I remember right this motor is a 1972?
**note: a local marina told me that the "serial number" is in fact the hull ID number? Is this correct?
thanks in advance for any assistance.
John

Well, after merely 5 days of repair work,
I have that 50 hp Johnson purring like a kitten
( it wouldn't even try to start when I got it)
and I got all the lights back in operating order,
and even freed up the 12 volt bilge pump.
The neutral safety switch had 3 broken wires, and when I got them resoldered, the wiring harness came back to life.
Next???? a good coat of wax, and it's time to head to the lake for the first time with this beauty o
